TAMARIND PRAWNS

 

 

INGREDIENTS

 

18 large Banana prawns

1 level tsp Turmeric

2 pinches MSG (optional)

1/8 tsp Fenugreek

1 heap tsp Chilli powder

Pinch of salt

2 tsp Sugar

6 tsp Tamarind (preserved type from a jar)

METHOD

 

Cut the front part of the prawn's head off and cut off the legs

 

 

Add the powdered ingredients to the prawns in a bowl

 

fenugreek

 

 

Salt

 

 

Sugar

 

 

Turmeric

 

 

Chilli

 

 

MSG (optional)

 

 

then add the tamarind

 

 

Mix well and marinate for at least 4 hours

 

 

Dry fry the prawns in a non-stick frypan. Try to let the edges of the prawn shell get a little bit burned if possible.

 

 

Serve with boiled rice and your choice of vegetable dish
