PORK PATTIES

 

INGREDIENTS

 

350g Minced pork (25% fat)
2 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp 5 Spice powder
1 cap Shao xing wine
1 tbsp Soy sauce
3 tbsp Cooking oil
1 tsp Corn flour
Rice flour (to coat patties)
Pinch of MSG (optional)
Salt to taste

METHOD

 

 

Mince your own pork if you have a mincer but if not try and buy pork with about 25% fat in the meat. Place it in a bowl.

 

 

Add sugar

 

 

Add 5 spice powder

 

 

Add MSG (optional)

 

 

Add soya sauce

 

 

Add the Shao xing wine and mix well into the minced pork meat.

 

 

Put the rice flour into a bowl.

 

Make small patties by hand and coat each one in the rice flour.

 

 

Heat the cooking oil in a fry pan.

 

Fry the patties until they are golden brown.
