1/2 Red onion sliced
2 cloves Garlic finely chopped
1 head Broccoli chopped into bite sized pieces
1 tsp Chicken stock powder
1 tbsp Cooking oil
2 slices Ginger (thin slices)
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Oyster sauce
1/2 tsp Corn flour mixed with a small amount Water
1 tbsp Shao xing wine
1/4 cup Water
Pinch of MSG (optional)
Salt to taste

Slice half a red onion



Chop 2 cloves of garlic



Cut the broccoli into bite sized pieces



Heat a tablespoon of oil in a wok



Add the sliced ginger



Add the chopped garlic and fry until brown and fragrant



Add the chicken stock powder



Add the onion and fry until it begins to soften



Add a pinch of salt



Add a pinch of sugar



Add the broccoli and stir fry for a few minutes



Add 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce



Add about a quarter of a cup of water



Cover and cook for about 3 minutes



Add a small amount of corn flour and water mix



Add a pinch of MSG (Optional)



Add a teaspoon of shao xing wine



Serve on a bed of rice
