FIVE SPICE PORK

 

INGREDIENTS

 

350g Pork , diced
1 tsp Soya sauce
3 cloves Garlic
1 tsp 5 spice powder
2 tsp Sugar
1 cup Cooking oil
Pinch of MSG (optional)
Salt to taste

METHOD

 

 

Chop the pork into small pieces and place in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of 5 spice powder

 

Add 1 teaspoon of soya sauce

 

 

Add half a teaspoon of sugar

 

 

Finely chop 1 clove of garlic and add to the pork

 

 

Add a small amount of corn flour and water. Mix the ingredients well into the pork and put in the fridge for at least a couple of hours to marinate

 

 

Once the meat has had time to marinate heat a cup full of oil in a wok

 

 

Once the oil is hot add the meat and deep fry

 

 

Add a pinch of MSG and fry until the meat is cooked and brown.

 

 

Place in a bowl ready for serving.
